Get it out of the fridge.

Was at my usual lunching today with my mate Kim from work, and we talked about the whole deal about getting work out.

Here’s my take to any of you young creative blood who thinks ‘I’m not ready yet.’ : (excerpt from the afternoon)

“Get it out. Don’t keep it after creating it. It’s like cooking and then putting the dishes in the fridge, hiding it there. It doesn’t do ANYTHING. Get it out. The worst you’ll get? Some bad remarks, some constructive feedback. But the deal is that you’ll have gotten it out. Give it a chance for success or failure. But don’t go for ‘decided failure’. I’ve seen my fair share of bad shit out there. The world goes on – what matters is the chance, the experience, the lesson – and that you’ve lived. Your work included.”

So c’mon, 2009 might be the year to get out of that bloody fridge. Go!
